Women's Cricket in the NMCAIn Season 2015/16 the NMCA introduced a Women's Cricket Competition. Initiated to respond to the growing interest in Women's Sport, the competition allowed the NMCA to provide an opportunity for more members of our cricket community to play the game we love.
The four inaugural teams of the Women's Cricket Competition were formed within existing NMCA clubs, allowing the players to receive support and coaching within an established and professional environment. There are now teams from over eleven clubs participating in a program that includes Skills Masterclasses, T10 Tournaments, Representative Matches & Outdoor & Indoor fixtures. The NMCA was awarded The Most Outstanding Sporting Program Award in 2015 by the Darebin City Council |
